Steve Byrd and Rob Cavaness met in the dorms freshman year at UCSB in 1983 and became fast friends. After graduating with a bachelor of arts degree majoring in business economics in 1987, Steve entered the insurance business with New York Life in 1988. Steve has earned many industry awards such as the Million Dollar Roundtable and the New York Life Career Council. He has also been a member of the Santa Barbara Association of Life Underwriters for over 30 years. Steve enjoys spending time with his two daughters, live music, beach volleyball, and surfing.
Rob Cavaness is a founding partner of Santa Barbara Health Insurance. He has over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1988. He is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters. Rob enjoys spending time with his family, beach volleyball, surfing, and biking.
